Nishchint Chawla
Nishchint has over thirty years of Board Level and Operating Experience in the Education, Private Equity, Media and Communications sectors and has led several companies at a senior level both in India and the U.S.
Nishchint is an Education Consultant and works on projects with various schools in India. He is involved at the Board and Advisory level and provides strategic inputs to existing and start up schools.
Currently he is the President- Education and Director, Vedanya Schools. At Vedanya he has provided strategic inputs for the set up for a chain of schools and other educational initiatives (www.vedanya.edu.in).
He is also on the Board of Management of the Child Education Society, which manages The Bal Bharti Public Schools; a chain of 17 schools across India, educating over 35000 children. As advisor he works with the trustees to modernise school operations and help grow schools outside the Delhi region. Nishchint is also the founder of Collegelaunchpad – a counselling initiative for children applying abroad for higher studies (www.collegelaunchpad.in).
As Director Heritage Schools and Heritage Xperiential Learning School and also Executive Trustee of Euro Schools, Mumbai – a chain of 10 owned and 5 franchise schools, he managed P&L ran operations and directed the team in curriculum and product development.
Nishchint was Managing Director at Madison India Capital – A Private Equity fund investing in the Media, Communications, Education and Services sectors. He was responsible for fund raising, deal sourcing, investee diligence, transaction structuring and helping the investee company at the Board level.
Prior to joining Madison India Capital, Nishchint was President of US Operations at Rediff Holdings, a leading Indian online company. Prior to Rediff, he was COO of Radio Today, where he managed the launch and operations of RED FM. Nishchint also managed the operations of Modi Entertainment, a leading Indian Cable Network company that successfully launched ESPN India.
He has an MBA from The Fuqua School of Business, Duke University,USA, a Master of Business Economics from Delhi University, and a B.A. from Shriram College of Commerce, New Delhi with Honours.
Nishchint has also provided mentoring to organisations in the social impact sector.
